It is not uncommon for pets to get lost or separated from their owners. We have RFID microchips available for pets. Microchips are implanted under the pet's skin / between the shoulder blades. The procedure is simple and can be performed when your puppy or kitten comes to us for routine preventive care. If a pet is micro-chipped, it can be scanned by scanners at our hospital. The ID number can be cross referenced in the database, and the pet owner can be contacted for a reunion with their pet. Micro-chipping a pet is very affordable, simple, and quick to perform. It is the most effective method of reuniting owners and lost pets. We recommend microchips for every dog and cat.
